
Hikes
The area around Alpe Palü offers beautiful hikes for all skill levels.
Lagh da Caralin
Starting from Alpe Palü, follow the trail to the left toward the Lagh da Palü dam. After crossing the dam, take the path that climbs up to the left.

This beautiful hike leads you to Lagh da Caralin, a stunning alpine lake with a magnificent waterfall cascading directly from the glacier.
Return along the same trail you used for the ascent.

Sassal Mason
Starting from Alpe Palü, follow the trail to the right. After about 5 minutes take the path that climbs the mountainside facing Bernina Pass, following the signs to Sassal Mason.
Once you reach the old hut, you will be rewarded with a breathtaking view of Lago Palü and Cavaglia. A walk suitable for everyone, perfect for families.

Cavaglia
A walk suitable for everyone: start from Alp Grüm station and descend to Cavaglia. Our Rifugio Restaurant Alpe Palü is is the perfect place to take a break and enjoy a delicious homemade local meal. You can relax while taking in the scenery and nature, and then continue your hike.

Once you arrive in Cavaglia, you can visit the impressive glacier garden.
Poschiavo
If you still have time at this point, you can continue your hike all the way to Poschiavo.


Lagh da l'Ombra
Starting from Rifugio Alpe Palü hut, head up towards Alp Grüm, following the trail that leads to Rifugio Belvedere and continues on to the area known as Pozzo del Drago.
From there, follow the signs to Lagh da l’Ombra along a short downhill path.
You can enjoy the unspoiled nature surrounding this alpine lake and, if the weather is warm, take a refreshing swim in its clear waters.
For the return, you can either follow the same trail back or descend to Cavaglia.

Bernina Pass
Follow the trail that leads to Alp Grüm Station. After crossing the tracks, continue in the direction of Lago Bianco. The path is wide and easy, suitable for everyone, and along the way you can hear the whistles of marmots and enjoy the scents of the forest.
Once you reach the dam, you can walk along Lago Bianco until you reach one of the train stations on the Bernina Pass (e.g., Ospizio Bernina, Diavolezza, etc.).
